Dirk Lechtenberg, 43, one of the pioneers in the field of the production and use of alternative fuels. Founder and Managing Director of the company MVW Lechtenberg & Partner, Germany
 
During his 20-year involvement in the field of alternative fuels, he has been directly responsible for the development of RDF (Refuse Derived Fuels) projects all over the world. Before founding MVW Lechtenberg in 2004, he was Project Engineer at MBM Industrieanlagen GmbH in Ahlen/Germany, owned by Portlandzementwerke Miebach & Söhne, Germany and later Managing Director of RDF processing plant belonging to one of the biggest private owned Dutch logistic companies, Emons Group.
 
As a Managing Director of Lechtenberg & Partner- the world’s leading consulting firm for the implementation of alternative fuels in the cement industry, he has been developing all over the world custom - made concepts for the processing of domestic waste and other waste into alternative fuels.
 
Lechtenberg & Partner checks the environmentally relevant and process specific influences on the cement production, plans adequate preparation plants and supervises ongoing production as well as continuous input in cement production plants – worldwide. MVW Lechtenberg is currently developing RDF projects in 20 countries around the world.
 
As Speaker of the Naturschutzbund Youth in Germany, Member of the City Council, Regional Parliament and various other institutions, he developed a wide experience in lobbying environmental projects worldwide.
 
As a recognized speaker he presented a number of papers on various conferences dealing with the subject of waste, cement and alternative fuels. His articles were published in many international cement magazines and other specialized press.
