Despite the fact that the number of company insolvencies is still declining in Germany, the subject matter itself continues to be of high importance, with cases like PIN Group AG, where the Luxemburg subsidiary has been forced into insolvency proceedings in a German court in order to ensure the recovery of the whole group.
Accordingly, the underlying theme of the 2008 Yearbook is “how to conceive and implement successful solutions for restructuring companies, both out-of-court and in the context of insolvency proceedings”.
