There is an agile manifesto that defines the principles of agile software development agilemanifesto.org and there are several different agile frameworks or methodologies, e.g., SCRUM, Kanban, FDD, Extreme Programming, and DSDM. Even if your organization does perform iterative, incremental development, you may or may not be agile.
