Legal Protection in the European Union

The course should give answers to the following questions:

• What kind of courts are there in the EC/EU?
• What is their role in the Community?
• What kind of legal remedies are there in the EU?
• What important rulings are there concerning legal remedies?
• Are there certain areas where the judicial system needs reforming?

Students complete the course by an oral presentation of a classical ruling (15 minutes) + essay on that ruling (10-15 pages
