FAIRWIS

FAIRWIS is an EU funded project that aims at offering on-line innovative services to support business processes of both real and virtual trade fairs. This paper describes some innovative features of FAIRWIS system, focusing primarily on the generation of 2D and 3D visualizations that are exploited to facilitate human-computer interaction, to allow easy access to the stored data, and to present the retrieved information in appropriate ways. The goal is to help the users (fair organisers, exhibitors, visitors) in the different phases of the decision making processes they may undergo to improve their own business.
